Because of the Turkey Days, buses will run instead of trams at the weekend.
The 9th Debrecen Turkey Days will be organized on 10-11 June on Kossuth Square which will be closed during the festival. In previous years, the trams ran during the Turkey Days but passengers need to transfer. This year, buses will run instead of trams and passengers won’t have to transfer in order to go from one end of the city to the other.
The tram substitutite buses will be marked by 1V and will run along Train Station-Piac Street-Kossuth Street-Burgundia Street-Rákóczi Street-Péterfia Street and then on the original route of the tram and back. Passengers will be able to get on and off the buses at the tram stops and at Csokonai Theater and the Teacher Training College.
