The protest against the changes in the pension system didn’t hinder the traffic for a long time.
The car demonstration held in Debrecen a few days ago was deemed a success by the organizers. About 100 cars took part in the action, which was more than the expected. Where they passed, they paralyzed the traffic for ten minutes. All over the country, the trade unions protested against the government’s plans to transform the pension system. Besides activists and sympathizers even socialist politicians took part in the Debrecen procession which had been announced to be politics-free. First of all active and retired policemen joined the demonstration. Those who wanted to be in the convoy were not ordered to serve.
