The Campus Festival suffered a revenue loss of about 1 million HUF and serious moral injuries because of the forged tickets. The organizers believe that those were the most disappointed who had unsuspectingly bought illegal tickets and were denied entrance at the gates. The police are looking for unknown perpetrators for forgery of private documents.
Out of the 50 thousand visitors, 300 could not enter the festival because they were found out to have invalid tickets at the gates. Even so, about 100 people did use forged tickets which meant a revenue loss of about 1 million HUF for the festival, not to mention the moral injuries. The organizers have already pressed charges and the perpetrators may get 2 years in prison. The organizers are planning to put even more security features on next year’s tickets.
