In Debrecen, the lowest price for an apartment is 30 thousand HUF, the highest is around 300 thousand. Contrary to previous years, there is no rush for apartments this year in many university cities. One of the reasons is that the services in the dormitories have improved, the other one is that the number of the apartments for rent has increased. In Debrecen, the demand is big in spite of the fact that many of the dormitories are well-equipped. Hungarian students in general can afford to pay 40-60 thousand HUF as rental fee, while foreigners might pay up to 300 thousand HUF for a modern apartment.
