There are triple applications over university quota to the medical faculties in Hungary but because of the limited training capacities maximum 2100 foreign students can be admitted.
Despite the fact that 5 foreign students increase the GDP by 24 billion HUF and give job to 1 person. Some of the entrance exams for the next semester are still not over but 2052 foreign students have already been admitted to 4 Hungarian institutions. To the German-language training at the Semmelweis University the percentage of applications over university quota was 800 %. More and more young people from Korea and Vietnam come to the University of Debrecen. The university trains doctors, dentists, pharmacists, physiotherapists, public health professionals and it also organizes preparatory courses for prospective students.
