22 September is the Car Free Day of European Mobility Week. On this occassion, the local group of Hungarian Bicycle Club organizes special events.
In the morning, cyclists are awaited for Bicycle Breakfast: at the Tourinform pavilion in Kossuth Square they can get pastries and hot tea. The bicycle club also provides service works during the breakfast, from 6.30 to 9.00 AM. They want to make going to work or school by bike more popular.
In the evening, they organize the Biker’s Picnic: cyclists can have dinner together in the closed streets around Déry Square. The organizersare intent to substitute the Critical Mass demonstration by this common picnic. The participants can eat, talk and be together from 5.00 to 8.00 PM.
From 7.00 PM in Baltazár Square, short bicycle movies and a surprise movie will be on screen.
