The foot-stone of the newest Calvinist church of Debrecen was placed on Saturday.
The new chuch will be built in the area called Lencz-telep (the Southeastern part of Debrecen). The previous surveys showed that about 200 families would like to belong to a new congregation.
The capacity of the new church is 120 people. It was planned by András Kováts, free of charge. The costs of the building are divided among the city and regional organizations of the Reformed Church, and the congregation of Kerekestelep.
The foot-stone was placed by Gusztáv Bölcskei, Bishop of the Hungarian Reformed Church and Lajos Kósa, Mayor of Debrecen. The Bishop also held a celebration service.
