Google wants to improve its map of Hungary. Data collection in being carried out by camera-equipped cars.
The cars are going to record street names, traffic signs, road signs and shop signs. The cars are to set off on 19 October. According to the schedule (http://goo.gl/8dxLQ) Google cars are going to come to Debrecen, too, but it’s uncertain, when.
The company explained that by launching the mapping cars and collecting more data the clarifications and modifications suggested by users can be done more easily and also, the local shops and businesses will be more accurately designated on the maps.
The developers hope that the Street View service will soon be available in Hungary as well but Google hasn’t provided any details about this yet.
