The good old yellow tram celebrated its 50th birthday today.
The first model of the FFV tram (CSM-1) was constructed in 1961 in Budapest. It was brought to Debrecn only year later, in 1962.
During the last decades, passengers in Debrecen got acquainted with many improved models, but recently only the FFV 1200 (its nickname is "bengali") tram has been used. FVV trams were also running in Szeged, Miskolc and Budapest.
Debrecen, Miskolc and Szeged celebrated the anniversary by running "bengali" trams on certain lines today.
