23 October is the anniversary of the Hungarian revolution of 1956. There are nationwide commemorations this day, and so in Debrecen, of course. There will be road closures throughout the city.
On Sunday, from 7:30 am to 8:45 am, and from 3:30 pm to 4:45 pm, Bem Square between Ajtó and Füredi Streets will be closed because of ceremonies: cars must not drive in or park there.
From 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm, the outer lane of Kossuth Street between Ujhazi Ede and Liszt Ferenc Streets (together with the bus stop) will be closed. During this closure, buses towards Piac Street will stop at the Kossuth Street trolley stop.
This day is a national holiday in Hungary, so all shops and offices are closed, except for restaurants, non-stop shops, patrol stations and medical services on duty.
