Now, as the alterations are finished in four pairs of tram stops in the Downtown (to fit the low-fllor new trams), some members of the local government and a civil public transport organization disapprove of the new platforms. They state that the present blue trams will not be able to open their doors at the altered stops as the edges of those are too high.
As the announcement of the City Hall says, the new platforms have been formed according to the accessibility rules (so that disabled people and baby carrying mothers can easily get on the trams). When the plans of the platforms were created, there were no information on the new trams because of the prolonged tendering procedures. As the CEO of DKV told earlier, they will not unbuild the platform, as the problem can be solved by the setup of the doors of the blue trams.
