December 1 is the World Day of AIDS. On this day, medical and civil organizations hold informative presentations on the importance of safe sexual life throughout the world.
Debrecen also sees some special events on this theme. The Association of Hungarian Medical Students organizes an informative presentations in the Youth Center in Simonffy Street 21.
At the most busy points of the city, volunteers will distribute sexual informative flyers and condoms.
In the university, a kind of flash mob is being organized: at 3 pm, the interested ones can take part in the action when -with the help of red papers- a large red ribbon is formed, as the symbol of the World AIDS Day.
