The Waldorf Primary School of Debrecen is moving to the building of the former Eötvös Street Primary School. The agreement was signed on Friday.
The number of children attending Eötvös Street Primary Scool had been decreasing year by year, that is why the local government decided to liquidate it, but they did not intend to sell the building itself. At the same time, the number of parents interested in Waldorf education has significantly increased. That is why the local government decided to support the local Waldorf education by giving them the right to use the former school building.
If everything goes well, the school can start the second semester in the new place.
