The Hajdú-Bihar County Local Government has received a support fund of nearly 458 million HUF, provided by the European Union and the Hungarian Government.
They intend to spend the money on developing the Emergency Ward in Kenézy Hospital, building a new wing and purchasing new medical equipment and machinery. The number of the beds at the ward is going to go up from 9 to 25, the professional quality of the sub-intensive care is going to increase; the patients are going to receive higher quality care in general. The deadline of finishing the constructions is 30th April, 2012. Medical attendance in the renovated environment can start in July, 2012.
