The tumors that are diagnosed in time can be cured with radiation therapy as the newest methods are highly precise and efficient. With them, operations might not even be necessary. The modern CT machine has been used at Klinika for a couple of months. It can determine the area where radiation has to be used exactly, to the millimeter. Due to the efficient treatments, radiation therapy in some cases proved to be as successful as operations. If the operation cannot be avoided, receiving radiation therapy prior to the operation increases the chance of survival by 20-25 % since recrudescence occurs less often after radiation therapy.
