Beware deadheads! Speed-punching ends

Local News

“Emergency-punching” has ended. A short time after getting on, the driver locks the ticket machines and it’s not possible to use them until the next stop.

Year by year, DKV comes up with new ideas in order to lessen the millions of forints of damage that is caused by deadheads. The latest thing is the “anti-emergency-punching” ticket machines. However, that this new technique is able to eliminate speed-punching completely is doubtful as the machines are useless without inspectors. The idea is that anyone who doesn’t validate the ticket right after getting on will be caught by the inspectors. IF they come. So for the long-awaited success, increasing the number of inspectors and inspections is essential.
