Informative series of events on cardiovascular diseases

The Hungarian Society of Cardiology is organizing a series of events throughout the country. They want to call the people’s attention to the importance of the prevention of cardiovascular diseases.This one of the most common causes of death among the Hungarian population. About 20 percent of Hungarian grownups suffer in one of these diseases.

The “silent killer”, that is the high blood pressure and the high cholesterol level can remain asymptomatic for long time, but in the long run, both of those can cause venal occlusion, heart attack, impotency, cerebral circulatory damage, etc.

That’s why the Hungarian Society of Cardiology has started a series of informative events which intends to call the people’s attention on the importance of the prevention and the improvement of such diseases. Together with Semmelweis University and TEVA, they want to make people aware of the responsibility they have on their own health. Life-style has a great influence on the cardiovascular system, either in a positive or a negative way. That’s why the organizers are campaigning with the help of the players of Teva-Vasas waterpolo team. Sports, helathy lifestyle and the exact following of the mediacal therapy can really improve the state of people with cardiovascular diseases.
The opening event of this series of programmes was held last weekend in Debrecen Sports Pool.
