Three new members have arrived into the lemur family living in the Debrecen Zoo. The newborns can already be seen though still only between the watchful paws of their mother.
One of the proud mothers, Janka sunbathed with her twins on Thursday. The babies were born a few days ago without any complications and the assistance of the keepers. They are 10 cm long now and can be seen mostly in their mom’s lap. The keepers say it’s a real sensation that healthy twins have been born since multiple birth in nature is very rare.
Visitors of the zoo can see a special exhibition this weekend. Bubu was the first inhabitant of the giraffe house. His scull will be exhibited along with other specimens like the furs of a wolf and a puma that lived in the zoo or a huge ostrich egg.
