The leaders of some organizations that saved homeless and other needy people from the extremities of the cold weather received recognitions last week. Two of the recognized organizations are in Debrecen.
Miklós Soltész, Minister of State for Social, Family and Youth Affairs recognized the work of those who did a lot to help those at risk during the winter period. Two organizations based in Debrecen were among the awarded. Reformx Kht. that operates temporary accommodations and social worker services saved the lives of many in need this year. And the special medical team of DE OEC was honoured because in recent years, its members tried to ease the vulnerability and helplessness of those who live on the nearby farms by, for example, distributing food supplies, especially in wintertime.
