The leaders of the city organized a charity collection at the City Ball. Mayor Lajos Kósa handed over the donation to the Institute of Pediatrics of MHSC on 22 May.
The Institute bought pressure sore mattresses from the 1.5 million forints that was collected as donation at the City Ball. György Balla, Director of the Insitute said that by using the beds equipped with pressure sore mattresses the development of erythema and pressure ulcers can be avoided. “Besides the special bed, the institute bought a collapsible chair, too, so parents can be more comfortable when spending time with their children.” – he added. Lajos Kósa handed over 3 black and white puli dogs (the mascots of the ongoing swimming championship) to the institute director. Parallel to these events, the clown-doctor alias György Reschofsky, Csokonai-prize winner artist visited the children on the occasion of Children’s Day.
