“The neonatal intensive care center in the Institute of Pediatrics in MHSC is to be renewed with half a billion forints” – György Balla academician, director of the institute announced at a press conference on Thursday.
According to the professional leader of the programme, the equipment essential for treating newborns in critical conditions or low birth weight premature infants will be modernized: incubators, medicine dispensers, breathing machines, patient monitors will be purchased. In addition to modernizing the medical equipment, the institute will carry out information technology development as well. The new technology will assist healing processes by continuously recording and analyzing food parameters. The perinatal intensive center treats patients mainly from the North Great Plain region but it takes babies that need neurosurgical intervention from all over the country.
