A 3-member gang was caught disassembling a high voltage transformer by the associates of the National Tax and Customs Administration.
The NAV associates noticed the suspicious company between Józsa and Debrecen. They were busy with a high voltage transformer and a car with a trailer was parking next to them. The small team was working laboriously on dismantling the transformer that had already been removed from the post. On being questioned, they told the NAV officers that they had stopped only because they had seen the transformer lying on the ground. The officers notified the police and EON. The professionals of the power company confirmed that the transformer had been tampered with and forcibly removed from the post. The resulting damage might be up to 3 million forints. The finance officers handed the perpetrators over to the police authorities.
