“From August on, scheduled charter flights are going to go between Debrecen and Moscow.” – Tamás Meleghegyi, Managing Director of Airport Debrecen told MTI on Thursday.
The 150-seater, Boeing 737-400 planes of Tatarstan Airlines will go to Demodedovo Airport in Moscow every second week, on different days. The first plane is scheduled to land in Debrecen at 9.30 am. on 9 August. “The Russian company that operates the flights arranges trips to Hajdúszoboszló because of the Hungarian thermal waters having healing effect. Mostly sick children and accompanying parents are expected to take advantage of the trips but holidaymakers will also come.” – the managing director explained. He added that the Russian company wouldn’t be the first to draw on the services of Debrecen Airport in taking tourists to Hajduszoboszló. Germania Airline has been operating flights between Berlin and Debrecen with similar reasons since April.
