The Long Night of Museums, also known as the Night of Museums is organized on 21 June in Debrecen.
The cultural event has German origins; the first Long Night of Museums took place in Berlin in 1997. Since then the number of participating institutions and exhibitions has risen dramatically, spreading to over 120 other cities throughout Europe, as well as elsewhere, in Argentina and the Philippines.
Exhibitions are open from 4 pm to 2 am in various museums, such as MODEM, Déri Museum, and the Museum of the Reformed Collage.
