The reconstruction of the Debrecen Nagyerdő is finished; the park forest was rebuilt from 2,6 billion Forints.
Lajos Kósa, mayor of Debrecen held a speech yesterday afternoon at the opening ceremony of the new Nagyerdő. He said that the local government had provided additional 500 million Forints to the 2,1 billion that was given by the European Union and the Hungarian government.
With the renovated thermal baths, open air theatre and Békás Tó, the Nagyerdő had become the “green heart of the city” – said Kósa.
