Archeologists of Déri Museum discovered extremely rare excavation finds last week near the M35 motorway between Debrecen and Berettyóújfalu.

Archeologists discovered the skull of a 10-12 years old little girl last week near M35 motorway in Hajdú-Bihar county. The girl lived in the Avar age (7th century A.D.) and she was buried with a golden headband. These excavation finds are very rare, only five similar findings have been discovered so far in the Carpathian Basin.

The skull of the little girl was sent to Kenézy Gyula Hospital for an X-ray examination where experts determined the exact age of the girl.

After the restoration of the findings, they will be available for the visitors too.
