The Department of Organic Chemistry of the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Debrecen has a new laboratory at the Chemistry Building.
The new lab was constructed from former rooms of the Faculty of Pharmacy.
From 1969 these units were not renovated and since MSc programs in Advanced Chemical Engineering were launched, the number of students has outgrown the capacity of most of the laboratories of the institute – said Professor Dr. László Somsák, director of the Institute of Chemistry.
Hungarian, as well as foreign students of the Faculty of Science and Technology and the Faculty of Pharmacy use the laboratories of the institute – mentioned László Somsák.
The new lab, which was modernized by 55 million Forints, will be used by almost 400 students of the university.
