According to the weather forecast, extreme cold stays for the weekend in several counties.Weather alert has been issued for several counties in Hungary because of the cold weather.
Second-degree weather alert has been issued in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén, Hajdú-Bihar, Heves, Nógrád and Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg counties, while there is a first-degree alert issued in the capital and in Pest, Bács-Kiskun, Békés, Csongrád and Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok counties.
Temperature can go below -15 Celsius on Saturday. In the northern part of the country even -24 Celsius can be experienced during the weekend. Sunday night might be the coldest with -25 Celsius.
Apart from the cold weather and snowfall, strong wind is also expected in Hajdú-Bihar county, too.
