Would you like to learn about photography, video making, and journalism with hands-on activities? Do you want to know what free press is? Do you want to change the way people think about the world? Do you want to know how to get your word out effectively? Do you want to strengthen your media skills?
Date: 11th of April 3:30 – 5:30 pm

Venue: American Corner Debrecen, Méliusz Juhász Péter Library, 4026 Debrecen, Bem tér 19/D.

Programme: The training will teach students to think outside of the box when it comes to the use of technology in spreading news, innovation, and ideas within their communities. The aim of the 10 session workshop series is to show the basics of journalism, enhance critical thinking of the world, and teach the mechanisms of democracy while increasing their media literacy and media consciousness. Participants will learn how to use photography, videos and articles to showcase their findings in an impactful and engaging way.

Maximum number of participants: 15 students

Eligibility: 12 – 18 years of age, enrolled to one of the schools of Debrecen, or the vicinity, experience in writing/ photography, video for school newspaper/webpage or school radio or vlog/blog
