First Advent candle was lit yesterday (3rd of December) on Kossuth square. The event was visited by more than a thousand people.More than 200 Christmas lights are decorating the city centre of Debrecen this year. After the speech of László Papp, mayor of Debrecen, the Christmas lights were turned on and the first Advent candle was lit on the city’s Christmas tree in front of the Great Reformed Church.
