The Hungarian Red Cross holds its annual food donation on Friday and Saturday.
Charity food donation is held in 111 Tesco supermarkets throughout the country. The purpose of the action is to collect 50 thousand kilograms of non-perishable foods, like canned food, pasta, flour and sweets. The donated food will be given to almost 10 thousand families in need.
The Hungarian Red Cross also launched its donation line; one call or one SMS cost 250 HUF.
