Debrecen got into the finals of the European Capital of Culture 2023 project. We have only two rivals left for the title: Győr and Veszprém.Experts of the European Commission have met recently in Budapest to select those three Hungarian cities which can compete for the title of European Capital of Culture 2023 in the final round.
Aiva Rozenberga chairman of the independent experts announced that they had chosen Debrecen, Győr and Veszprém from the seven applicants.
At the end of 2018, the experts will return and make a recommendation to the Hungarian winner of the European Capital of Culture 2023 project.
