This Friday, June 21, happens to be both the day of the summer solstice and World Giraffe Day. In celebration of this special occasion, we are hosting an exclusive event on the shortest night of the year.
Come and visit us on Friday night to take a peek behind the scenes on custom guided tours, unraveling all the mysteries the Zoo holds, such as the secret night lives of animals. You will get a chance to meet our reticulated giraffes up close, including Daahir, the youngest star in the family, with our expert staff providing an ample amount of fun facts about our long-necked friends and their habitats.
Although giraffes will be getting in the spotlight for the night, the event will feature various other species, including our newest arrivals, the little African penguins and ring-tailed lemurs among others. Keepers also have in store a number of wild stories and fun facts for animal-lovers – revealing, for instance, how hippopotamuses get their teeth brushed.
The event is held on June 21, from 20:00 to 23:00, with a limited number of tickets for 3800 HUF per person, available at our cash desks. You can also make a reservation by calling +36 52 310 065.
