Swiss solar-cell maker Flisom is building a 12.5 billion forint (EUR 35.2m) solar module plant in Kecskemét, in central Hungary, with the support of a government grant, the foreign affairs and trade minister said.
The government is supporting the investment with a 3.5 billion forint (EUR 9.8m) non-refundable cash grant, Péter Szijjártó told a press conference, adding that the investment would create high value-added jobs.
In the first phase, the investment will create 140 jobs, with the company looking to triple the plant’s capacities over a three-year period, Szijjártó said.
