The Municipality of Debrecen has received another large donation to be able to fight successfully against the epidemic. Grampet Debreceni Vagongyár Kft. handed over a piece of equipment analysing coronavirus tests, related testers, and 6 thousand face-masks to Mayor László Papp and Zoltán Bács, Chancellor of the University of Debrecen on 11 May 2020.
The equipment, which the firm donated to the Municipality of Debrecen and which will be operated at the University of Debrecen, provides help in analysing the results of coronavirus tests. Furthermore, the donation has included 1,000 testers and 6,000 face-masks. The latter will be delivered to the ones in need by the municipality. The value of the donation nears 10,000,000 HUF. „The collaboration that has come about in Debrecen is unprecedented in an unprecedented epidemic. This new donation also helps us to protect the health of the citizens of Debrecen” – pointed out Mayor László Papp. Many offers – equipment and tools needed for protection, disinfectants – have already reached the ones in need, but financial assistance is also significant: the amount in the Debrecen Support Fund is nearing 130,000,000 HUF.
