Thanks to TEVA, the city received a donation of 600 litres of hand sanitiser liquid, which the municipality will deliver to social institutions, day-nurseries and kindergartens in its own maintenance.
Vice Mayor Diána Széles pointed out at the symbolic handover of the donation that extensive collaboration had taken place in the last period between the population, the municipality and the economic stakeholders in Debrecen. During the emergency, volunteers from the Charity Board distributed hot food on a daily basis, they delivered preserved food to families in need every week, and the municipality gave support to locals who got into difficulties due to the coronavirus epidemic, through the Debrecen Support Fund.
– We have given priority to the continuous and safe supply of medicines, at the same time we have deemed it important to provide assistance to the local community. I think we can achieve success in our fight against the coronavirus only is we join our forces. I trust that the municipal institutions will find the hand sanitisers offered very useful – pointed out Bjorn Hultermans, Site General Manager of the company’s premises in Debrecen.
