A local paint company donated paint worth six million forints to the Debrecen Charity Board, whose almost 100 volunteers painted the staircase of a ten-story block of flats in Tócóskert on 9 July 2020.
– We wanted to bring the paint donation to a symbolic place in Debrecen where we could launch a community action with the involvement of the residents. I deem it important that the dwellers should keep clean and appreciate what we achieved together, even after the painting event. This day is also an example of the fact that socially sensitive people live in Debrecen who pay attention to each other, irrespective of whether they are entrepreneurs or private individuals: everybody helps the ones in need, to the best of their ability. – pointed out Vice Mayor Diána Széles.
