Protective measures are being followed by more and more people, thus contributing to a successful defense against the spread of the virus, the deputy head of the emergency center of the operational strain responsible for controlling the coronavirus epidemic said at Monday’s online press conference.

Over the weekend, a spice and delicacy store in Debrecen was temporarily closed for 5 days because on Sunday, during an inspection, police found that several people in the store’s warehouse were unmasked and consuming alcohol there. Thus, they were fined. So far, the police have decided to temporarily close 98 shops and service providers due to non-compliance with the rules.
Last week, a drinks store in Debrecen also violated the rules.
Police fined 726 people over the weekend for disregarding the mask-wearing obligation. Of these, 618 were settled in settlements with more than 10,000 inhabitants, 34 on public transport and stops, and 74 in shops and shopping malls.
He added that since the government decree on protection measures came into force on 21 September, 13,178 police actions have been taken for violating the rules of wearing a mask.
Violations of the rules in shops, restaurants, accommodation and leisure facilities have so far required 606 police measures, of which 162 were due to the negligence of the operator or owner, and 444 cases of non-compliance with the rules on limited opening hours.
The curfew has been violated by 1,044 people in the past two days, 8 other people haven’t complied with the dog walking rule, and 31 haven’t complied with the ban on public grouping.
Since November 4, police had to take action against 10,782 offenders.
