The European Union of Gymnastics (UEG) has chosen Budapest to host the 2024 European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships.
The event will be the sixth international rhythmic gymnastics competition to be hosted by the Hungarian capital, with the last one being the 2017 European championships. Hungary also hosted the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in 1963, 1996 and 2003 and the European championships in 1999. The UEG on Friday also chose Varna to host the 2023 gymnastics European championships.
