Twelve-meter tree endangered the lives of people in Debrecen

A branch of a twelve-meter-old maple tree split on Monday morning on Simonyi út in Debrecen. The tree branch endangered pedestrian traffic. Professional firefighters in Debrecen cut the branch with a chainsaw, the county disaster management said.

A twelve-meter acacia tree leaned on a pillar on an early Monday afternoon in Debrecen, on Hadházi út. The unit from Debrecen marched, removing the wood with a chainsaw using a mechanical sliding ladder.

On Monday afternoon, professional firefighters from Hajdúszoboszló were alerted on Radó Street in Hajdúszoboszló due to suspicions of carbon monoxide leakage. The house bathroom had an open combustion chamber water heater, but there was no carbon monoxide sensor in the house. Firefighters made measurements that showed the presence of toxic gas in the air. In the bathroom, a man became ill and could no longer be rescued.
