Wizz Air will reopen its base in Debrecen, the airline said on Monday.
According to their announcement, Wizz Air will fly from Debrecen to Eindhoven from June 5 and to London-Luton from June 12.
János Vajda, the managing director of Debrecen International Airport Kft., Which operates the airport, informed that other flights will be gradually restarted. The airport was prepared for the restart in every way, but he called it important for everyone to comply with the health measures introduced at the airport in order to travel safely.
After two routes in the next few days, flights to popular holiday destinations will soon return, so those who want to fly from the eastern region to the most beautiful beaches in Europe can start organizing the trip, quoted András Radó, Wizz Air’s senior corporate communications manager.
Debrecen International Airport, Hungary’s second-largest airport, handled more than 600,000 passengers in 2019, and the airline’s local base also greeted the airline’s 1.5 millionth passenger in Debrecen.
