At the airport’s press conference, it was announced that the entry for the 4th Wizz Air Debrecen Airport Run, which will be held for the fourth time this year, on 25 September 2021, has started. The event will once again be hosted by a special venue, as participants can run where the planes go at other times.
Year after year, there is a growing interest in the event, so this year lovers of running can compete in 5 different runs. At the 2.5km and 5km race distances, we want to provide a challenging, yet prepared, challenge for primarily novice runners. And in the new 10km race, intermediate runners can find the body-fitting challenge for themselves.

In determining the distances, it was important to create recreational opportunities for Debrecen residents and families with small children, in addition to individual competitions. Thus, the 5 km family race will start this year as well, beyond which they will be prepared with unforgettable, high-quality partner programs for all ages.
This year, the event serves a noble purpose in addition to promoting a healthy lifestyle; the István Regőczi Foundation wants to help its children orphaned by a coronavirus epidemic.
The main sponsor of the event is Wizz Air again this year, and entrants will receive a € 10 Wizz Air voucher this year as well, which they can use for their next trip with a one-year warranty.
