The cold weather with significant thunderstorms and strong winds caused a lot of problems in Hajdú-Bihar county – disaster protection was reported. At 8 p.m., help was asked from firefighters at nearly thirty addresses, mostly to remove fallen trees and pump water into buildings. In the county, mainly Debrecen and Nyíradony suffered the most damage.
On Szilas út in Nyíradony, the water reaching the knee in the yard had broken into an apartment. In Nefelejcs Street in Balkány, the rainwater exiting the ditch flows into the garage, as well as in the neighboring Szegfű Street.
In the Hajdúböszörmény section of the main road 35, around the 71-kilometer section, a tree fell on the road, completely blocking the traffic. A tree broke out between Debrecen and Létavértes and fell on the road.
In Debrecen-Józsán, the situation is similar in Csonkatorony utca, a cherry tree leaning on a roadway obstructs traffic. The units are constantly eliminating damage cases.
