Between October 7 and 19, 2021, the crime prevention staff of the Debrecen Police Headquarters presented an interactive crime prevention game called “Save Gordon!”. Students looked for good answers to the following questions. What crimes were committed against Gordon? What could be the consequences for the victim and the perpetrator? What can classmates do to help the victim? Who can they turn to for help if their partner (or even they themselves) gets into trouble? How do they behave on the World Wide Web so as not to put themselves in danger? During the interactive game, a little teddy bear, Gordon, helps children navigate the world of the internet.
Useful advice from the police for students:
- Don’t use social sites recklessly, don’t let your location be tracked!
- Do not post photos or videos of others on the Internet without their consent!
- Do not give out your personal data to anyone (e.g. password, address, bank details, etc.)!
- Always be suspicious of everything unknown!
- If you have problems, feel free to contact the police, they will help you find a solution!
