The Berettyóújfalu District Prosecutor’s Office has indicted a man from Pócsa who has disrupted an engagement party with a bomb alert for a public threat of a crime.
On October 16, 2021, the man and an acquaintance came home from work in Pocsaj around 6 p.m. and then consumed alcohol in several places. On the way home, they heard the music coming from the event hall of the town. The accused and his acquaintance wanted to enter the building, but the people involved in the engagement party did not allow it, and a hassle arose between them. Outraged by this, the drunk man walked over to the public telephone booth near the event hall and called the police emergency center, saying that he would place a bomb in the building and everyone would die.
After the announcement, police arriving at the scene interrupted the engagement party, and the 23 guests there had to leave the building to inspect it.
During the police measures, the accused, who admitted the false report, was apprehended and then held accountable.
The investigation was carried out by the Berettyóújfalu Police Headquarters.
The Berettyóújfalu District Prosecutor’s Office brought charges against the man in the Berettyóújfalu District Court for the crime of threatening a public threat.
In the indictment for the execution of the sentence, he filed a motion for the district court to impose a penalty on the accused for work in the public interest.
