In 2022, the Hungarian Ice Hockey Federation will organize the Ice Rink Night for the sixth time, the largest winter sports event in Hungary.
The Hungarian Ice Hockey Federation decided 6 years ago, in 2016, to launch a nationwide series of events where everyone can pull skates, similar to the highly successful Museum Night and Beach Night. A VI. Ice Rinks Night was missed in 2021 due to a coronavirus epidemic, but on January 22, 2022, the event will be held again as Allianz Ice Rinks Night. On the penultimate weekend of January, lovers of ice sports and programs await at more than forty locations across the country, including three major rural cities – Debrecen, Győr, and Veszprém.
The venues mostly have extended opening hours, discounted tickets, DJs, and an ice disco. Routine skaters can also learn the basics of hockey in several places. On the website of the event, jegpalyakejszakaja.hu, those interested can find accurate information about each track.
