The application form can be sent by the parents and guardians of the children in kindergarten to the institution of their choice until February 18. Enrollment will be between April 20-21 this year.
Act CXC of 2011 on National Public Education. According to the law, the child must attend kindergarten for at least four hours a day from the beginning of the school year in the year in which he or she reaches the age of three by 31 August, in this case before 1 September 2019. An exception to this may be made if the district office of the county government office with general competence exempts the child from attending the kindergarten session if this is justified by the child’s family circumstances and special situation. In that case, he may be exempted from compulsory pre-school employment until 31 August of the year in which he reaches the age of four, in special cases, on further application, until 31 August of the year in which he reaches the age of five. An application for this can be submitted until April 15, 2022. In the case of a child undergoing long-term treatment, the application can be submitted after 15 April. Compulsory pre-school education can also be completed in early development and care. With the exception of a child receiving nursery care, the parent is obliged to enroll his or her child in kindergarten at the time specified in the notice or announcement published by the local government or the maintainer, or to request exemption from the obligation to attend kindergarten.
The application form required for kindergarten applications can be downloaded from www.debrecen.hu. On the application form, the parent can mark 3 kindergartens out of 33 kindergartens maintained by the municipality. The order of the three designated kindergartens also reflects the order of intent to apply. The district register of kindergartens maintained by the municipality can also be downloaded from www.debrecen.hu. The completed application form must be sent electronically to the institution designated in the first place by 18 February 2022. The head of the kindergarten will decide on the admission and acceptance by March 11, 2022, at the latest. Enrollment will be on April 20-21, 2022, and additional enrollment will be on May 4, 2022.
Due to the emergency situation, parents do not have to appear in person at the time of enrollment. The kindergarten where the child has been admitted records the fact of enrollment in the Public Education Information System on the basis of the data indicated on the application form, as a result of which the child’s legal relationship is established.
