One month after the Epiphany, there are still former Christmas trees on the streets of Debrecen.
We do not know since when they’ve been on the streets, however, they are providing a slightly depressing sight anyway. Our photos were taken on Tímár street, Hunyadi street and Lehel street.
Collecting the thrown away pine trees in Debrecen is carried out by the Debrecen Waste Public Service Nonprofit Ltd. (DHK), we remind you of the company’s instructions regarding the placement of trees: Pine trees should be placed along the waste collection route (next to selective bins or where waste collection containers are located), they are collected twice a week and then transported to a composting plant.
In the zones of family houses with gardens, pine trees must be placed next to mixed, communal (blue) bins, or they can be placed free of charge at any time at the green waste collection point of the Regional Waste Management Center (Debrecen, Vértesi út 9 / B.).
