From February 28, Hajdúböszörmény collected a donation of HUF 1,751,350 in an account opened to help those fleeing the war zone and the Hungarians in Transcarpathia, the city government announced.
The city of Hajdúböszörmény has already sent a shipment to Beregsurány and Beregszász twice, from donations from the population and entrepreneurs, and the local government helped its sister city with HUF 3 million.
Part of the donation was used to help the sister city of Beregszász: the truck launched in Beregszász on March 10, filled with donations from entrepreneurs, also supplied the power generator, compressor, hand-held transceiver and extension cables, which Hajdúböszörmény bought from these offers.
The remaining amount is intended for the care of the refugees arriving here and the resulting tasks.
