The Hajdúszoboszló District Prosecutor’s Office has indicted a man, who abused a postal courier, of a crime against a person performing public duties.
The victim works as a postal courier and on March 26, 2022, she was working in Hajdúszoboszló. She appeared at the defendant’s residence, as she had to deliver a registered item. When the postwoman rang the bell, no one answered, so the woman left a notice in the defendant’s mailbox according to the relevant delivery rules. The man noticed this soon after and resented that the postwoman had dropped the notice without ringing.
After a short time, around 10:30 a.m., the victim delivered more consignments to another street, and after getting into the car, the angry defendant approached the vehicle, grabbed the victim’s hair through the pulled-down window, and tugged at the woman. The victim fell as a result of the accused’s abuse but was not injured.
The Hajdúszoboszló District Prosecutor’s Office has indicted the man for the crime of violence against a person performing public duties. In the indictment, the district prosecutor’s office requested that the district court impose a criminal sentence on the basis of the contents of the case file and impose a suspended prison sentence on the accused.
